Description:
It is truly a treat to have this 1998 Larrivee Artist Series D-09E here in our shop. Larrivee Guitars originated from widely repsected luthier Jean Larrivee, who started making his guitars by hand as early as the late 1960's. However through the efforts of Wendy Jones, Jean's wife and expert inlay artist, Larrivee would soon be shaped into the image it is known for today. These guitars were first played notably by Bruce Cockburn and Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary. As the years went on, Larrivee would gradually ramp up production and established itself firmly in the niche of boutique acoustic guitars.
This particular Larrivee D-09E has an incredible full-bodied and rich sound. The combination of rock-solid construction, an expertly sourced spruce top and indian rosewood back and sides, Larrivee's signature parabolic x-brace design, and high-density bone nut and compensated saddle really makes this guitar sing like no other guitar in our shop.
