This violin was made by Jermone Thibouville-Lamy, a French string manufacturer, circa 1910-1920. JTL was the largest of the Mirecourt instrument making facilities, and operated from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. JTL produced over 150,000 instruments annually and employed over 1,000 luthiers within its history.

This violin is part of the Eleve series of violins, and is made with a high-quality selection of tonewoods.
